, Fort Worth, an ex News Reader / Drama voice /Coomercial Voice
of All India Radio India.
Another daughter now with a Chemical Company in New York, an
ex child artist for Radio Commercials. Yet, another daughter,
now with International Red Cross, Geneva (on assignment in Ethiopia)
an ex DJ of All India Radio, presenting famous English Music
programmes, DATE WITH YOU . Sister and brother in law both retired
and staying in Los Angeles, ex broadcasters of Voice of America,
Washington and Radio NHK, Tokyo. (Hindi Unit) One son-in-law
is a famous commercial broadcaster and TV serial / Film performer

I am a national award recepient from Ministry of Health
and Family Welfare, Govt. of India, for producing a song for
Family
Planning, which was sung by famous Playback singer Sushma Shrestha
and composed by Music Director K.J.Singh of Film Sath Sath.
I also produced TV Serial Bal Bujhakar and DALDAL for Doordarshan.

I was born in Lahore (Pakistan), raised in Delhi (India) and
now I am living in Fort Worth. I worked for many years as casual
artist at All India Radio, New Delhi. I was the pioneer in city
of Delhi to start Commercial Broadcasting and had my own recording
studios. I also produced Television Serials for Doordarshan.
I studied classical music at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and had
an opportunity to sit with great masters like, Pt. D.V.Paluskar,
Ravi Shankar, Begam Akhtar, Narain Rao Vyas, Late Ustad Vilayat
Khan and Pt.Onkar Nath Thakur. Because of my involvement with
my job with American Express in New Delhi where I worked for
30 years I could not become a TANSEN (the greatest singer), but
definitely I achieved a distinction in becoming a KANSEN(the
greatest listener) I handled two companies in India, MADHURVANI
for Radio Commercials and DOORDRISHTI for production of TV Serials.
I also announced production of a film under the banner of Srishti
Films, but had to leave the project, since I moved to USA. |
